GENERAL INFORMATION OF DPT:

DPT (N,N-Dipropyltryptamine) is a research chemical, psychedelic entheogen of the tryptamine class. DPT was first synthesized in 1950. The chemical compound is either a crystalline hydrochloride salt or an oily crystalline base.

DPT is a close structural homologue of DMT (dimethyltryptamine) and DET (diethyltryptamine). DPT’s psychedelic effects are believed to come from its efficacy at the 5-HT2A and 5-HT1A receptor as a partial agonist.

DPT has formal name: N-[2-(1H-indol-3-yl)]ethyl-N-propylpropan-1-amine. The chemical formula for DPT is C16H24N2 with a molecular weight of 244.38

EFFECT AND DOSAGE OF DPT:

DPT is commonly consumed via insufflation or orally. It can also be administered intramuscularly or via vaporization after conversion to the freebase form. Smoking the freebase is reported to be the preferred route. DPT uniquely similar in its hallucinogenic intensity, albeit with a moderately longer duration and greater unpredictability relative to DMT and other psychedelic tryptamines.

TOXICOLOGY OF DPT:

The toxicity and long-term health effects of recreational DPT use do not seem to have been studied in any scientific context and the exact toxic dosage is unknown.
