Methoxetamine (also known as MXE, 3-MeO-2′-Oxo-PCE) is a dissociative hallucinogen substance of the arylcyclohexylamine class. It is structurally related to ketamine, PCE, and 3-MeO-PCP. MXE is an arylcyclohexylamine, it acts mainly as an NMDA receptor antagonist, similarly to other arylcyclohexylamines.

Methoxetamine acts as a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist and serotonin-reuptake inhibitor.
